A lovely outing in Val di Sole’s woods to hunt for mushrooms. Each type of mushroom has its own unique characteristics that are linked to its habitat and our expert mycologists will show you how to spot the differences and similarities.

Thanks to our mycologists you’ll be able to tell which mushrooms are edible and which are poisonous or in some cases deadly. 


WHO ARE WE

We are expert mycologists, part of the Gruppo Micologico G. Bresadola Val di Sole, established in 1987 with more than 120 members. Giacomo Bresadola was one of the most famous Italian mycologists.

WHAT WE SUPPY

Participants will receive a one-day mushroom gathering permit. 
At the end of your outing you can take the edible mushrooms, that you’ve gathered, home with you. 

WHO CAN PARTICIPATE

Everyone can participate in this activity. The activity takes place in areas with a minimal elevation gain, but the terrain may be rugged in certain areas, therefore we recommend that you wear hiking footwear. 

EQUIPMENT/CLOTHING

We recommend that you wear comfortable clothing, full length pants (you should always keep your legs covered!) and proper footwear for walking on slippery or rugged terrain. Bring a rigid and airy basket and a knife to clean the mushrooms that you gather.
