Safety information

Beware of technical descents.

As you can imagine, the passability of routes in a mountain environment is strictly linked to current conditions and therefore depends on natural phenomena, environmental changes, and weather conditions. For this reason, the information contained in this sheet may have changed. Before leaving, check the status of the route by contacting the tourist offices.

Starting point

Malè - Piazza Santa Maria Assunta

Directions

The start is in the town of Malé. A first launch lap of one kilometer brings you back to the center of Malè, and after a first up and down of about ten kilometers, mainly on single tracks, near Monclassico and Dimaro, the route tackles the 14 km climb of Orso Bruno, a dive into the territories of the Adamello Brenta Park that carries competitors up to the Orso Bruno Refuge at 2200 meters altitude. Single tracks and forest roads are the key words for this climb, which offers a total elevation gain of 1200 meters; once at the top, don’t get distracted by the stunning surrounding panorama of the Brenta Dolomites, because the following descent needs to be carefully managed. From the Orso Bruno Refuge, you quickly return to Folgarida to rejoin the “short” route heading straight towards Costa Rotian, again on a “rock and roll” single track called LA PREDA DEL PE'. This is another exciting moment for competitors before passing near Commezzadura and Daolasa, close to the bike park known to many for the international caliber events hosted in recent years; here the route retraces parts of the 2015 XCO World Cup. Now another tough climb awaits up to Bolentina, effort rewarded by the unexpected fun of the final single track DIRETTISSIMA MALE' that finally leads to the finish line. This last downhill stretch during the race is timed and considered as a special downhill stage for the classification.
