Summer: Adventure Sports
Val di Sole and Dimaro are known for the wide variety of adventurous and adrenaline-filled sports that you can try here! In addition to Rafting, in Dimaro, you can take your pick among the following extreme sports.
HYDROSPEED: A descent down the river with a high-flotation riverboard, a 5 mm wetsuit, helmet, fins and an expert instructor to accompany you. This is the most extreme and difficult sport to try. Participants must know how to swim and they must be 18 or older. There are different runs each approximately 3-5 km long that vary according to the level of the river and the participant’s skills.
CANYONING: This sport will give you the incredible chance to discover remote, rugged natural areas. Canyoning is a sport that combines climbing and whitewater sports. Basically, participants descend down mountain stream gorges using climbing techniques and, where possible, they can swim or dive into deep pools or they can also let the water flow carry them down the stream along fun tobogas (natural slides). This sport, which is best suited for participants age 14 and older, guarantees fun and excitement in complete safety thanks to the presence of an alpine guide.
TARZANING: this activity takes place along an aerial itinerary that doesn’t require any special physical skills, making it perfect for everyone. You will be accompanied by an expert guide as you cross over canyons and rushing streams thanks to suspension bridges, pulley systems, and short vie ferrate. An extremely fun and safe sport, even on a rainy day.
DOWNHILL: If you love adventure and speed and can’t wait for the next adrenaline rush, then downhill is just what you’re looking for. After you take a gondola lift up to a height of 2000 m, you will descend at breakneck speed, accompanied by an expert guide, on a full suspension downhill bike and with a helmet and protective gear. This activity isn’t for the faint of heart.
